Beacon of Truth Ministries International is a non-denominational ministry committed to presenting the whole counsel of God’s word through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We exist to advance the kingdom of God in the hearts of those who desire truth without the opinions, doctrines, and traditions of man. We pray that this ministry will inspire you to greater fellowship and intimacy with God. Self-Pity: The Glue to Your Past
1Ki 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

1. Self-pity is pride and idolatry concealed with tears
2. Self-pity hinders us from receiving from God
3. Self-pity plays the victim song and the blame game
Ac 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Overcoming self-pity with a attitude of gratitude

What are the “Greater works" that Jesus spoke about?
Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
1. What are the “works of Christ”
Mt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
2. What the “greater works” are not
They are not “more works” because more people
They are not “different works” Peter (shadow healing) Paul (sent out handkerchiefs)
They are not “works not listed” in Bible
3. Greater works #1-The new birth
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4. Greater works #2-The infilling of the Holy Spirit
Lu 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Ac 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Reasons for abstinence
It is a doorway to the demonic Pr 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. 32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
Your sipping may cause someone to stumble Ro 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or occasion to fall in his brother's way.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
What leaders do in moderation others do in excess Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

NAR stands for National Apostolic Reformation. Scrutiny from Cessationist heresy hunters have shed a negative light on some practices within the NAR movement. If you believe in the current day operation of the five-fold ministry of Eph 4:11 many will associate you with the extremes in this movement. How can the extremes be avoided without comprimise to the five anointings that belong to the Body of Christ?
Mt 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Truths that counter NAR extremes
Being anointed to oversee as a 5-fold elder, does not give you the right to “Lord Over or Dominate” a congregation…. You rule by leading by example, speaking the truth in love, etc.
The 5-fold is an anointing, not a title
You don’t have to be an apostle to lead a church or an organization (the biblical term is Bishop)
Leaders, despite their anointing, must be held accountable for their doctrine and manner of life
There is a difference between apostles of the Lamb and other apostles

The word "Law" is one of the most understood words in the church today. There are different laws found within the scriptures.
Ro 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Ro 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
